Bird observation point Adamov
Two artificially created gravel lakes - the Adamov lakes - are located only a few hundred metres away from the river Morava. One of them is still used for gravel extraction but at the same time it is a popular place for fishermen and a summer recreational spot. The second lake is shallower and its many small islands render it an ideal nesting place for more than 80 bird species – making it one of the most important ornithological locations in Slovakia and a part of the protected bird area.
An observation point has been erected to provide the views of the surrounding landscape and the migrating birds – Adamovská vtáčí hlezdírňa (The Adamov bird's eye view). Tourists can find the spot by turning off the main road from Kúty to Holíč or via the red cycling route leading alongside the river Morava.
