Vápenná hill (752 m above sea level), the third highest mountain in the Small Carpathians, is located in the national nature reserve of Roštún as part of the Small Carpathians protected landscape area. The 5th degree of nature protection applies in the reserve territory.
A 5 meter high viewpoint tower built in 2003 lies at the top of the hill. It has a reinforced concrete structure in the shape of an obelisk. You can reach the upper platform by a ladder.
You can take the green mark hiking route to the Vápenná viewpoint from Sološnica village, or a yellow mark route from Plavecké Podhradie.
The viewpoint offers views of the Pezinok Carpathians, Borská nížina lowlands, the Danubian Hills, Tribeč and Považský Inovec.
